Abstract

Surgical repair of total anomalous pulmonary venous connection (TAPVC) has evolved through the meticulous refinement of surgical techniques and perioperative management, as well as preoperative, minimally invasive diagnosis by pediatric cardiologists. However the development of a post-repair pulmonary venous obstruction has been a serious complication, and much effort must be made to overcome this problem. Detailed knowledge about the surgical and perioperative management by young and promising surgical staff will facilitate the further improvement of the result.
